Some 6 million necklaces and zipper pulls containing high and potentially toxic lead levels have been voluntarily recalled by a California company this week.The jewelry was made in China and has been sold in grocery and drug stores around the country by Stravina Operating Co. for more than three years.
For the record, this isn't the biggest lead-based toy recall this country has seen by a long shot. Four importers supplying the lion's share of this nation's toy vending machines participating in a recall of 150 million pieces of tainted jewelry last year.
